Northumberland County Show held on 31st May 2010.

A record entry of Border Terriers 73 dogs - 76 entries! Huge thank you for your support, for those present and absent, and to the NBTC for their sponsorship. What a day! BOB going TG1 and BIS, possibly not known in living memory! Not forgetting BP going TPG1!


Puppy 10
1. Horner's Stineval Santiva 7 mth grizzle bitch, well constructed, of the right size, lovely Border head, with keen expression, big white teeth, lovely dark eye, narrow front, good body length, thick pelt covered by double jacket, carroty tail, neat feet. Moved out well. BP TPG1
2. Barrett's Howthwaite in Violet b/t bitch slightly taller than 1, head not as strong, good mouth, and bone, thick pelt, level topline carried well, positive mover.
3. Atkinson & Young's When I was in the Band

Junior 6
1. Alexander's Lady Charlotte grizzle bitch, feminine border head, with strong muzzle, good bone, well muscled, lovely thick loose pelt covered by excellent double jacket, moved out steadily.
2. Horner's Stineval Maraschino grizzle dog, similar in type to 1, well balanced, and muscled, close decision, 1 just had more jacket.
3. Roberts Smalesmouth Malady

Yearling 12 (1A)
1. Anderson's The Dark Crystal b/t dog, super masculine otter head, straight front, up on the leg, well laid rib, spannable, thick pelt, wiry jacket, moved out well.
2. Alexander's Glenbucket Clan Chief grizzle dog, with everything in the right place, in lovely condition, strong head/muzzle, good length of body, well turned stifle, just needs to settle.
3. Day's Amberellie Grantham Lad

Graduate 16 (7A)
1. Newsome's Kighill Mr Clooney grizzle dog, with strong border head, dark eyes with keen expression, well laid rib, easily spanned, narrow through out, a little up on the leg, moved and really showed himself off, strong contender for top honours.
2. Gillies Holmehead Moss grizzle dog, similar attributes as 1, but shorter in body length, head not as strong, moved well.
3. Bryan's Hemlockstone Jinnie Sh.CM

Open Dog 15 (8A)
1. Fryer's Ch. Irton Up Helly AA rich red /grizzle could not fault today, in superb condition, lovely border head, keen expression, straight front, good in shoulders and rib, strong loins, moved with effortless drive, worthy champion, delighted to give him BOB, and to see him go TG1 and BIS.
2. Peacock's Ch Ragatam Harris JW attractive grizzle dog, lovely ottery head, decent neck length, well laid ribs to strong hind quarters, didn't move as well as 1 today.
3. Swindle's Buck Swifter

Open Bitch 17 (8A)
1. Fryer's Irton Polka, vibrant rich colour, as her Sire (BOB), headed a strong class, good straight front, loose, thick pelt, and jacket, easily spanned, moved out well on thick pads, lovely carroty tail.
2. McLellan's Breconbeds Fern, lovely feminine headed bitch lighter in colour than 1,with typical expression, handy size, in good jacket, moved out well.
3. Sugars Foxcraig Magic
