Thanks, Christine. I have considered the idea of castration, but it's very drastic! I think I'm looking for solutions when maybe there aren't any. I'll have to listen to my head instead of my heart.

IMO
It is possible to keep dogs and bitches together as do lots of people that I know within this breed and other breeds too.
You always have to be aware and becareful of any accidental matings, as you say you have no intentions of spaying your bitches.
The alternative, while I don't totally agree and again this is my opinion , is to have your dog castrated and then there cannot be any mistakes made.
Good luck no matter what you decide.

Iv'e recently had-reared one of my BT puppies; we had 6 dogs, but sadly lost 2 tinies. I've fallen in love with this little hand-reared man! My question to anyone who has advice for me is: will I be asking for problems galore if I keep him? I have 3 BT girls, none of which are spayed, and not thinking of doing so. I have his mum, his sister from a previous litter and his half-sister. I sort of know it's out of the question, but have a tiny shred of hope that it could work! Advice gratefully received.

I am soon going to be the Proud owner of a BT pup! I have been to see him with twice now with his Mum, Dad and litter mates and picking him up on 31st August! Really looking forward to Socialising and Training to try and get a really well behaved companion! I have been doing as much research as possible and found this site. I will try and find out how to join after I have pikced "Buster" up. big grin
